2015 Student Awards

Each year, faculty and staff at the University of New Hampshire are given the opportunity to recognize outstanding students enrolled in a degree program.  This is an opportunity for members of the UNH community to nominate undergraduate students who have achieved success in their academic studies, citizenship, and service to UNH and the larger community.

Nominations for 2015 Student Awards will be accepted here, beginning
January 2, 2015 and
will close at 4:00 pm on MONDAY, March 2, 2015.

To complete the nomination process you will need to:

  1. Enter information about yourself (the nominator).
  2. Enter information about the student (the nominee).
  3. Select the award the student is being nominated for.
  4. Submit a nomination letter (in Word or plain text format) for each award nomination.

Helpful Hints:

  • You should have the letter written and ready to upload prior to starting the nomination process.
  • Gather information on your nominee in advance. You will be required to enter the student's full name, major, and e-mail address. (NOTE: Student's email addresses can be obtained from the UNH Student Directory, accessible now only through BlackBoard).
  • You may nominate a student for more than one award. If you choose to do so, you will need to reenter the nomination data and compose a separate letter that specifically addresses the criteria for each award.
  • Please read each award criteria carefully, as changes/clarifications may have been made.
  • Nominations will not be accepted after the deadline posted at the top of this page.
  • Class standing, major(s), and overall UNH GPA will be verified using the Banner System records as of March 1, 2014. Exceptions to this will be determined on a case by case basis, by the Student Awards Committee.
  • Letters may be printed for committee review. Please include your name and title in the body of the letter, as well as the full name of nominee and specific award.
  • Nomination letters should be uploaded via this process. They should be in Word (.doc, .docx) or Plain text (.txt) format.
  • Please close the document and the word processing program prior to upload.
  • Nominations are accepted from UNH Faculty, Faculty Emeritus, Graduate Teaching Assistants, and Staff members only.  Students may not nominate themselves.
